Links Hall’s workshops are dedicated to nurturing the
unique creativity of your own expression, through the exploration
and practice of contemporary methods with passionate, intelligent,
and informed artist-instructors.

Links Hall is located at 3435 N. Sheffield Avenue, Chicago.
CTA Trains/Buses: Red Line to Addison or Belmont, Brown line
to Belmont, Clark Bus to Clark/Newport.
Driving: parking is a challenge, there are meters and residential
codes apply. Pay lots are available up to $20. Please call
us for directions,
suggestions.
Links Hall is a second floor walk-up; there is no elevator
or escalator.
CLASS POLICIES
Classes are usually open to all participants with at least
beginning/intermediate skills in body/mind awareness (such
as those developed through dance, yoga, martial arts, etc.)
Please wear bare feet and comfortable clothing for movement
classes, and arrive at least 5 minutes prior to all classes
to sign in and change. Refunds only in cases of illness or
injury.

Personal Movement Practice Workshop

This workshop is for artists who wish to deepen, provoke or propel their movement practice. Emphasis is placed on identifying and softening boundaries, reframing judgment to allow for delight and discovery, and becoming more aware of potential and choice. No particular emphasis is placed on performance. Movers need be emotionally mature, able to self-reflect, and curious about their own capacity to learn from themselves. www.madshak.com

UPRISING is a project of monthly, site-specific performances exploring practices of revolution. Participants will study related theory and history, discuss personal connections to social change, move their bodies, and create an outdoor performance exploring revolution.
