THE AMATEURS
enemyResarch is a New York-based collaboration between Lydia Brawner (scholar) and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (playwright), who make performances surrounding the intersection of theatre, dance-theatre, cabaret, improv comedy, lectures, and YouTube. They create work that is a response to other works, to the end of promoting an idea of performance-as-dialogue, performance-as-engagement, performance-as-political, performance-as-community-building, however temporary. |

It All Cums Back To The Muther
A performance that is a combination of body modification, restrictive and impractical fashion, sound collage, aroma, delicious and medicinal fruit, and textile sculpture amalgamate to evoke an intoxicating and mind/body altering experience. www.myspace.com/perishables

Installation by Lulwah Al Zaid
City
City is a detailed drawing of different architectural environments created through multiple perspectives projected onto a large screen, and was created exclusively for this festival. Shadows and movements created by performers will interact with the drawing, forcing certain areas to be blacked out and then revealed at different moments. That movement created by the performers will help to animate the drawing as a kind of map like space that can be fully experienced. |
